We vow to pass on the thoughts and lives of the 201 young men who lost their lives.
This memorial facility is dedicated to honoring those who served in Operation TENGO (the Okinawa Air Operations) during World War II, including members of the special attack units, the 66th and 55th Flying Squadrons, the 19th Air Communications Regiment, and the Navy’s Kamikaze Special Attack Corps (First Seito Unit).
On display are their final letters, personal belongings, and photographs. Through videos and other exhibits, the museum seeks to convey the preciousness and value of peace to visitors of all generations, and to touch the hearts of those who hope for a peaceful future.
